When I decided to move from Kauai to Boise in the summer of 2016, people questioned my sanity. Even I had to think twice about it. I'm originally from the South Bay beach cities of Los Angeles. I was living on Kauai but wanted to move back to the mainland. And I knew I didn't want to end up back in the Los Angeles area. So I did what any normal human being would do: I opened a map, closed my eyes, and pointed to a place on the map. The closest major city was Boise. And guess what!? It worked out.
